Timed Highlight is a small Confluence Cloud macro that keeps text highlighted through a chosen expiry date and displays it as ordinary text afterwards.

Use Timed Highlight

  1. Edit a Confluence page.
  2. Insert Timed Highlight.
  3. Enter the text.
  4. Choose the expiry date.
  5. Publish or update the page.

The highlight remains active through the selected expiry date and appears as ordinary text afterwards.

Current limitations

  • Timed Highlight supports plain text only.
  • It does not convert existing selected rich text.
  • Links, mentions and rich formatting inside the macro are not supported in V1.
  • A page already open across the expiry boundary may need refreshing.
